Mission Statement

Our mission is to empower women in the North-Central Florida area
by providing them with spiritual, emotional, and financial support
with the goal of helping them achieve independence in mind.
In doing so, we hope to encourage and enable women to contribute
individually and collectively in strengthening our community as a whole.

 

Specific Goals

  1. Act as a collective support network, resource, and voice for women.
  2. Establish, support, and facilitate Islamic education activities for women of all levels of understanding.
  3. Generate and when considered appropriate, distribute funds to women as needed
  4. Develop a list of available governmental and community resources to assist women according to their specific needs.
  5. Recognize and utilize alternative resources available (i.e. time, transportation, etc.) thereby optimizing the skills and abilities of all contributing members of the organization.

The name, Radiant Hands, is drawn from the following ayahs

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful

"O ye who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the
hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills and admit you to
Gardens beneath which Rivers flow,- the Day that Allah will not permit
to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their Light
will run forward before them and by their right hands, while they say,
"Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for Thou
hast power over all things." (66:8)

 

One Day shalt thou see the believing men and the believing women-
how their Light runs forward before them and by their right hands: (their greeting will be):
"Good News for you this Day! Gardens beneath which flow rivers! to dwell therein for aye!
This is indeed the highest Achievement!" (57:12)
